Green Apple Pie POWERBOWL Smoothie WIAW

Hi All!

Hope you enjoyed your valentines day!
I know that I did :]

If you missed my Valentines POWERCAKE
check it out here!

I received a few goodies of my own,

Nothing like some chocolate, cozy socks,
& a gas card to celebrate Valentine’s Day! :]

& possibly some flowers from an awesome Valentine ;]

So I thought on this #WIAW

(Thanks to Jenn from Peas & Crayons
for hosting this awesome foodie link-up!)

I would share with you
 a NEW RECIPE
GREEN APPLE PIE
POWERBOWL SMOOTHIE

This actually is not made with green apples,
I personally am not a fan of them.
I prefer the reddish/yellow apples;
but the frozen spinach in this smoothie makes it green ;]
& gives me a serving of veggies!!

Anyway,
In the mix is
2 Cups of water, (liquid of choice)
1 apple, 1 cup frozen spinach,
2 TB Flax, 1 Scoop Sunwarrior Vanilla Protein powder,
splashes of ..
VANILLA, CINNAMON, GINGER & ALLSPICE
& some xanthan gum to make it nice and thick!
(totally optional though!)
Blend all ingredients &
add as much or little liquid as you would like to ;]

TOP WITH CINNAMON
and sometimes I do a packet of truvia
sprinkled on top so it tastes like a dessert
;]

& it's more fun to eat out of BOWL
(hence, POWERBOWL)
Honestly, you can't taste the spinach
& it's a great way to incorporate more veggies!!
I'm off to student teach and then do some ZUMBA
tonight with the Roomie! so fun! :]

Also, you still have a chance
to enter my GIVEAWAY!

Enjoy your Wednesday!
xoxo

  5. I've thrown fresh spinach in my smoothies before, but I've never used frozen. Luckily, I have some thawed frozen spinach in the fridge right now just dying to be used!
